HiveOS wasn't created by marketers looking for an industry to sell to. It was built by a tattoo artist who needed better systems for his own business.
HiveOS grew out of the real problems of running a tattoo studio: finding the right clients, dealing with inquiries that disappear, reducing no-shows, managing appointments, generating reviews, improving visibility, running advertising and trying to keep everything organized while still actually tattooing.
We didn't study tattoo studios from the outside.
We built HiveOS from inside one.
Tattoo studio owners have been seeing the same promises for years. Giant lead numbers. Free tattoo giveaways. Cheap offers. Generic funnels. Huge spreadsheets full of inquiries.
It sounds impressive until the studio has to deal with the reality.
Price shoppers. Giveaway hunters. People who never answer. People who aren't ready to book. People messaging five studios at the same time.
A pile of leads isn't the same thing as a studio full of good clients.
We don't measure success by how many leads we can dump into your inbox.
We care whether the right clients find you, understand your work, trust your studio, book, show up, get tattooed and come back.
Lead quality matters more than lead theater.
The best tattoo clients aren't transactions.
They become collectors. They return for new work. They recommend friends. They follow artists to conventions and other cities. Over time, some become part of the community around the artist and studio.
HiveOS helps you nurture those relationships.
Automation shouldn't make your studio less personal. It should free you from repetitive administrative work so you have more time to be personal when it actually matters.
HiveOS can handle predictable tasks such as routine follow-ups, appointment reminders, review requests, aftercare information and other repetitive communication.
That frees your attention for the situations where a real person makes the difference.
A serious collector planning a large project. A great past client you haven't heard from recently. Someone considering traveling to work with a particular artist. A high-value inquiry that deserves a real conversation.
The goal isn't to automate the relationship. It's to create more time for the relationship.
Tattooing doesn't behave like most local service businesses.
Clients follow artists. They collect work. They travel. They choose based on style, reputation, trust and connection.
A great geometric artist and a great traditional artist can work ten meters apart and attract completely different clients.
That's why dropping the same generic local-business funnel onto every tattoo studio misses the point.
HiveOS connects the parts of the business that are too often treated as separate products and separate problems.
Modern websites designed to turn attention into trust and make it easy for clients to understand your artists, styles and studio.
Help search engines and AI systems understand who you are, what you do and why your studio should be recommended.
Campaigns built around attracting appropriate clients rather than manufacturing impressive-looking lead counts.
Keep inquiries organized and follow up intelligently without making every prospective client feel like they're trapped in a sales funnel.
Build the reputation that helps the next serious client feel confident choosing your studio.
Aftercare, follow-up and thoughtful communication help good clients remain connected to your artists and studio.
Automate repetitive administrative tasks so artists and managers spend less time doing work a system can handle.
Connect communication, appointments, workflows and client information instead of stitching together disconnected tools.
Turn strong client experiences into repeat work, referrals, reviews, collectors and sustainable demand.
HiveOS isn't a theoretical marketing system assembled in a conference room.
New ideas are developed around problems we encounter running an actual tattoo business. We use the systems ourselves.
When something doesn't work, we find out.
When something works better, the system gets better.
HiveOS is what comes out of that process.

HiveOS was founded by tattoo artist and studio owner Derek Entenmann, known professionally as UberDerek.
After years of tattooing, traveling, attending conventions, building a personal brand and operating a tattoo studio, one thing became clear:
Tattoo businesses were being offered technology and marketing systems that often weren't designed around how tattooing actually works.
So instead of waiting for somebody else to build something better, we started building it ourselves.
Not everything should be automated. Not every client should be treated the same. And technology should never erase the personality of the artists and studios using it.
The technology should work quietly behind the artist, not become the artist.
Great studios are still built on great tattoos, talented artists, memorable experiences and strong reputations.
Technology can't replace those things.
But it can amplify them.
HiveOS helps make sure the work you've already put into your studio isn't buried underneath outdated websites, missed inquiries, weak visibility, forgotten follow-ups or disconnected systems.
HiveOS probably isn't the right fit for every tattoo studio. And that's intentional.
We're interested in studios and artists who care about their work, their reputation, their clients and the kind of business they're building.
If your goal is simply to generate the largest possible number of cheap leads, there are plenty of systems designed to do exactly that.
If you want to build a stronger tattoo business, attract better clients, nurture those relationships and create more time to actually take care of them, that's where HiveOS fits.
